A fun evening is in store for you with a talk by Michael Streissguth about his new book, Highways and Heartaches: How Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stuart, and Children of the New South Saved the Soul of Country Music. In his entertaining book, Streissguth tracks the evolution of country music from the rural routes of 1960s and ‘70s Appalachia to the 1980s country music boom that paved the way for modern Americana.
