Jennifer Horne will be our guest poet at the September 17th Third Thursday reading, which will take place at Pebble Hill on Debardeleben Street in Auburn. Refreshments and book sales will be available at 6 p.m. The program will commence at 6:30, beginning with a brief open mic reading.
Horne served as the twelfth Poet Laureate of Alabama, 2017-2021. She is the author of six books, most recently Letters to Little Rock: Poems, and a biography, Odyssey of a Wandering Mind: The Strange Tale of Sara Mayfield, Author. She also has edited five volumes of poetry, essays, and stories. She is the 2025 winner of the Hall-Waters Prize for Excellence in Southern Writing.
