Bio:

Norman McMillan was born near Greensboro, AL in 1942 and lived there until moving to Ralph, AL in 1951. He is a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School (1960), and he completed his B.A. (1964) and his M.A. (1967) at the University of Alabama. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1971. He taught English at the University of Montevallo from 1971 until his retirement in 2000. He is married to Joan Shannon McMillan and has two children, Sally and John.
