Bio: Alan May grew up in Florence, Alabama. He holds a BA from the University of North Alabama and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Alabama. His poems have appeared in The Hollins Critic, The Idaho Review, The New York Quarterly, DIAGRAM, Willow Springs, Plume, New Orleans Review, and others. He was poetry editor for The Black Warrior Review and The Chapbook, and he is currently poetry editor at The Tennes-Sierran.
