Bio: Mary Dansak: Writer, Equestrian, Naturalist, All the Family Hats
I am a lifelong writer and a retired science education specialist, and author of Box Turtles, Hooligans, and Love, Sweet Love, a collection of my columns. In semi-retirement, I work as a writer for a family who owns a horse and cattle ranch. My all-time favorite office chair is a buttercream palomino named Jasper. Most of my writing is a hybrid of natural science and memoir, drawing on rich personal experiences with the natural world providing a casual yet informative backdrop to my observations and reflections.
