Bio: Ruth Beaumont Cook is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a degree in English and German education. She has lived in Alabama since 1970 and has served on the planning committee of the Writing Today conference at Birmingham-Southern College and on the board of directors of the Alabama Writers’ Forum.
