Novelist Daniel Wallace will give a fiction reading at the University of South Alabama on February 4, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. The J. Ross MacDonald Distinguished Professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wallace is the author of six novels, including Big Fish (1998) and Extraordinary Adventures (2017). Tim Burton’s movie adaptation of Big Fish was released to great acclaim in 2003, and the film served as the basis for a subsequent Broadway musical. Wallace’s stories and novels have been translated into many languages, and his illustrations have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Garden & Gun, and other venues. His most recent book, a memoir titled This Isn’t Going to End Well, was published by Algonquin books in April 2023.
