Claudia Rankine will be reading and in conversation with Dr. Ernest L. Gibson in the Telfair Peet Theatre, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (Reception and book sales begin at 5:30 p.m.)

Claudia Rankine is the author of five books of poetry, including Citizen: An American Lyric, three plays, and the recent collection of essays Just Us: An American Conversation. Rankine is the recipient of the Bobbitt National Prize for Poetry, as well as fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, United States Artists, and the National Endowment of the Arts.
