Bio: Foster Dickson is a writer, editor, and teacher in Montgomery, Alabama, a city long billed as “the Cradle of the Confederacy and the Birthplace of Civil Rights.” Living in the Heart of Dixie, Dickson writes from the perspective of a person whose life cannot be separated from the history of the Deep South. He began his career at independent publisher NewSouth Books, where he worked in both the business and creative sides of company’s operation.
