Bio: Joe Cuhaj is a former radio broadcaster, beginning his career in the New York City metropolitan market before moving to Mobile, Alabama, where he continued his radio career until he had to finally get a real job. Joe is an avid hiker and backpacker and found that Alabama had a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities and he fell in love with the state’s incredible natural beauty and wonders. This love of the state’s geologic and biologic diversity led him to write his first outdoor guide, …Read More Hiking Alabama in 2000 for Globe Pequot Press. The book is now in its fifth edition. Since that time, Joe has written 13 guides to hiking, kayaking, and camping in Alabama and the Gulf Coast. He has also penned seven successful nonfiction history books and is currently working on a cozy mystery series set in World War II.
